In the Gonja language in Northern Ghana,”Burunche” means “white lady.”

Dr. Jean Young and her husband “Uncle Bob” Young have served as medical missionaries in Northern Ghana for  more than 20 years. While Bob is an Emergency Medical Technician, welder, maintenance mechanic and jack – of – all – trades, Jean is a pediatric and general surgeon with a Master’s degree in Public Health and Tropical Medicine. The Youngs have a passion to make Christ known to the people whom they serve and have taken as their life verse Matthew 20:28 “For the Son of Man came not to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.”

Wow, I don’t know what I hit but I ended up here and I don’t know how, so I hope I can find it again. Very interesting! Good picture, and I wondered what Burunche meant again just yesterday! Didn’t even pray, just got an answer. Love the posts, they are so good.
